Career

Jean-François Jacques was initially active for the Cap-de-Madeleine Estacades in a lower-class Canadian junior league in Québec . Then the striker went from 2001 to 2005 for the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League on the ice. During this time, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2003 in the second round as a total of 68 players by the Edmonton Oilers , for whom he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 2005/06 season . On July 6, 2011, Jacques signed a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks . In the course of the 2011/12 season , the Canadian completed only six NHL games for the Californians, while the winger was one of the most productive players on their farm team Syracuse Crunch . In July 2012, he signed a one-year contract with the Florida Panthers as a free agent . In January 2013 they transferred him to the Tampa Bay Lightning .

In June 2014 he signed a two-year contract with the Austrian record champions EC KAC in the EBEL .
