Jean-François Jacques (born April 29, 1985 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who last played for ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League .
Career
Jean-François Jacques was initially active for the Cap-de-Madeleine Estacades in a lower-class Canadian junior league in Québec . Then the striker went from 2001 to 2005 for the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League on the ice. During this time, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2003 in the second round as a total of 68 players by the Edmonton Oilers , for whom he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 2005/06 season . However, most of the season he spent with Edmonton's farm team , the Hamilton Bulldogs from the American Hockey League . Also in the following seasons Jacques stood for the Oilers, as well as various AHL teams on the ice. First in the 2006/07 season for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins and then each for the Springfield Falcons . Due to a back operation in the off-season , the Canadian fell out of the league for much of the 2008/09 season .
On July 6, 2011, Jacques signed a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks . In the course of the 2011/12 season , the Canadian completed only six NHL games for the Californians, while the winger was one of the most productive players on their farm team Syracuse Crunch . In July 2012, he signed a one-year contract with the Florida Panthers as a free agent . In January 2013 they transferred him to the Tampa Bay Lightning .
In June 2014 he signed a two-year contract with the Austrian record champions EC KAC in the EBEL .
Since August 2016 he has been under contract with ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League .
