Jean-Louis Danguillaume

Jean-Louis Danguillaume (born December 14, 1949 in Joué-lés-Tours ; † May 1, 2009 ibid) was a French cyclist .

Athletic career

His first major success was a stage win in the Tour of Yugoslavia in 1970. After he had already gained experience in major country tours in Yugoslavia , Poland , Algeria and Great Britain , he started in 1973 in the International Peace Tour . He finished the race in 43rd place in the overall standings, placing himself among the ten best drivers of each stage on nine stages. He made his first start at the UCI Road World Championships in 1970 when he finished 30th in the individual race. In 1974 he moved to the professional driver camp and started for the Peugeot team from 1974 to 1978 . There he achieved a total of eight wins. In 1975 he finished sixth in the Bordeaux – Paris endurance race. At the end of his career, he also started increasingly on the track. He finished third in the national sprint championships and fourth in the standing race in 1977.

Jean-Louis Danguillaume is the brother of Jean-Pierre Danguillaume , who won the International Peace Tour in 1968. His father Andre Danguillaume and his uncles Camille Danguillaume , Roland Danguillaume and Marcel Danguillaume and Jean Danguillaume were all cyclists.
