Jean-Philippe Mendy (born March 4, 1987 ) is a French football player . The striker , who has played his professional career so far outside of his native country, won the national championship title in Romania and Slovenia .
Athletic career
After his youth when OSC Elancourt , that of the French Football Federation promoted FC Versailles or the association's establishment Clairefontaine and the Football Croix de Savoie 74 was Mendy initially a club before it in summer 2006 with a guest appearance appearance for the Swiss club CS Chênois against the Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest noticed the opposing authorities.
At Dinamo Bucharest Mendy did not get beyond the role of a supplementary player, in the summer of 2007 the club that had won the championship awarded him for a season to the then second division team Petrolul Ploieşti . After his return, he played mainly in the second team of Dinamo. In particular, a knee injury later forced him to take a longer break, so he was temporarily without a club. In 2011 he joined the Italian third division team SPAL Ferrara in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione , but due to an injury he was only partially used here.
At the beginning of 2013, Mendy moved to Slovenia, where he joined FC Koper , which was coached by the Italian Rodolfo Vanoli . After a half series in which he had scored three goals in 13 games, he moved within the Slovenska Nogometna Liga to the reigning champions NK Maribor . Here he was quickly a regular player and formed a powerful offensive , especially with Nusmir Fajić and Marcos Tavares . With 14 goals this season, he contributed to the championship on the one hand and placed among the top five goalscorers in the league on the other. At the beginning of the following season he qualified with Maribor for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League . In the 2015/16 season he was top scorer with 17 goals.
In the summer of 2016, Mendy left Maribor and moved to Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in the Chinese Super League . For his new club, he came only to one goal and had to relegate at the end of the season . In early 2017 he joined Baniyas SC in the United Arab Emirates. He has been without a club since July 1, 2017.
