Jean-Pierre Blais (born May 21, 1949 in Saint-Anselme ) is Bishop of Baie-Comeau .

Life

The Auxiliary Bishop of Québec , Laurent Noël , ordained him a priest on May 11, 1974 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Québec and titular bishop of Tinum on November 3, 1994 . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of Québec, Maurice Couture RSV , on January 6 of the next year; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Québec Jean-Paul Labrie and Marc Leclerc .

On December 12, 2008, he was appointed Bishop of Baie-Comeau and on March 11 of the next year he was introduced to the office.
