Jean Assaad Haddad

Jean Assaad Haddad (born December 17, 1926 in Beit-Chabab , Lebanon ) was Archbishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Tire in Lebanon.

Jean Assaad Haddad was ordained a priest on July 2, 1950 . On October 26, 1988, he was appointed Archbishop of Tire , succeeding Archbishop Georges Haddad . The Patriarch of Antioch Archbishop Maximos V Hakim gave him on 27 November 1988, the episcopal ordination , as co-consecrators assisted the archbishops Grégoire Haddad , Titular Archbishop of Adana dei Greco-Melkiti and Habib Bacha SMSP of Beirut and Jbeil .

In 2000, Jean Assaad Haddad was Apostolic Administrator sede plena of Antioch from June 6th to November 29th . On 20 June 2005, he was due to age emeritus , was succeeded by Georges Bacaouni where he worked as Mitkonsekrator. He also served as a co-consecrator with the Archbishops Pierre Mouallem MSP of São Paulo in Brazil and Joseph Kallas SMSP of Beirut and Jbeil.
