The Eparchia Nossa Senhora do Paraíso em São Paulo ( Latin : Eparchia Dominae Nostrae Paradisis S. Pauli Graecorum Melkitarum ) is a Melkite eparchy unified with the Roman Catholic Church and based in São Paulo .
history
Pope Paul VI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Haec romana on November 29, 1971. Before that, the Melkite believers were subordinate to the ordinariate for the Byzantine believers in Brazil .
