The Ordinariate for the Byzantine Believers in Brazil ( Latin Brasiliae ) with its seat in Rio de Janeiro is responsible for the episcopal direction and jurisdiction over all Catholic Christians of the Byzantine rite in Brazil associated with Rome , i.e. for immigrant members of the Uniate Byzantine Eastern Churches and their descendants.
