Jean Boffety

Jean Boffety (born June 7, 1925 in Chantelle , † June 25, 1988 in Paris) was a French cameraman.

Life

After his training, Jean Boffety worked as a camera assistant and was responsible for the first time in 1960 as chief cameraman. He worked several times with the directors Robert Enrico , Robert Hossein , Claude Sautet and Claude Lelouch . He proved his skills not only in action-packed crime films, but also in rather quiet works in which he supported the sensitive drawing of the people. For A Simple Story , Boffety was nominated for the César for best camera .
