Jean Eduard Dannhäuser

Jean Eduard Dannhäuser (born August 8, 1868 in Berlin ; † September 26, 1925 there ) was a German sculptor .

Life

After studying at the school of the Kunstgewerbemuseum and at the art academy (with Fritz Schaper , Ernst Herter and Alexander Calandrelli ) in Berlin, he worked as a freelancer. His work extended to both monumental sculpture (fountains, memorial reliefs) and small sculptures. His specialty was horse sculpture. His work has been shown at various art exhibitions (including in Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig). Some of his figure models ( mountain climber ; boxer ; stallion ; dog ; dancer ) were purchased by the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik in 1926 and offered as plastic copies.

His grave is in the south-west cemetery Stahnsdorf .
