Jean Janson

Jean Janson (born February 2, 1823 in Harxheim ; † January 24, 1895 there ) was a landowner and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Janson was the descendant of a Mennonite family from Holland who settled in Harxheim in the 18th century. In the early 1840s he attended the higher industrial school in Darmstadt . From 1858 he was a member of the Palatinate district administrator. He was also a member of the German Agricultural Council and the General Committee of the Agricultural Association for Bavaria.

From 1881 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Pfalz 6 ( Kaiserslautern , Kirchheimbolanden ) and the National Liberal Party .
