Jeanette Mühlmann

Jeanette Mühlmann (born April 9, 1952 in Munich ) is a German- Swiss actress , producer and author who appeared in numerous German television series , especially during the 1980s and 1990s .

Life

Mühlmann is the daughter of a lawyer and a dancer. As a child, when her mother took her with her to ballet training, she soon danced with performances. After graduating from high school, she studied political and social sciences as well as journalism at the LMU in Munich. To compensate, she studied jazz, African and South American dance. In 1975 she met the Hungarian / Swiss director and actor Andras Fricsay , son of the conductor Ferenc Fricsay, while filming the Conquest of the Citadel (directed by Bernhard Wicki) . She became his assistant director in 1976. Her first assistant job was in Leopold Wagner's child murderer at the Residenztheater in Munich. Then she enjoyed language and singing training with Margret Langen and Bennie Gillette.

In 1977 she married Andras Fricsay. In 1980 she and Andras Fricsay founded the independent Munich theater company “Die Zauberflöte” (1980–1987), other founding members were: Jacques Breuer , Sissy Höfferer , Thomas Schücke , Mario Andersen. Her acting career then began at German theaters and on television. At the same time she began to create costume designs in collaboration with highly qualified theater tailors. The costumes she developed became one of her trademarks. 1988 divorce from Andras Fricsay. It was the end of the “Magic Flute” theater troupe. For Mühlmann, acting without fricsay was like soup without salt.
