John Eli "Jeb" Brovsky (born December 3, 1988 in Lakewood ) is an American football player .

Career

Youth and college

Brovsky played for the Colorado Rush Soccer Club in his youth, where he won several regional and national titles. He attended Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, where he worked for him on the school team in soccer, basketball and American football. After high school, he moved to the University of Notre Dame , where he played for four years for the college soccer team Notre Dame Fighting Irish . He also played for the Colorado Rapids U-23 team while in college .

MLS professional in Canada

Brovsky was selected in the second round of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by the Vancouver Whitecaps . On March 15, 2011, he signed a contract with the Canadians. On April 10, 2011, he played his first game as a professional. At the end of the season Brovsky were placed by the Whitecaps in the MLS Expansion Draft, where Impact was selected by Montreal . He played there for three seasons.

New York City FC

On June 12, 2014, New York City FC signed for the 2015 season. In return, Montreal received another draft in the MLS SuperDraft 2016. Four weeks later, Strømsgodset IF was loaned to the Norwegian first division club. There he made his debut on July 26, 2014.

At the end of the 2015 season, his contract with New York City FC was not renewed. He was placed in the 2015 MLS Re-Entry Draft, but did not find a new club.

Brovsky has been married to Caitlin Brovsky since December 8, 2012. In 2010, while he was still studying at the University of Notre Dame, he founded the non-profit organization Peace Pandemic. This campaigns against violence against women, and tries to strengthen children and young people around the world through football and to instill courage.
