Jeet ( Hindi : जीत, Urdu : جیت, translated: Victory ) is a Bollywood film that was released in India in 1996 .

Karan ( Sunny Deol ) is the feared killer for the underworld boss Gajraj Choudhary ( Amrish Puri ). During one of these criminal acts by Karan, he gets into trouble with Sidhart Sharma ( Alok Nath ) and his daughter Kajal ( Karisma Kapoor ). When he visits her, he is suddenly so fascinated by Kajal that he falls in love with her and forgets his plans. At first, Kajal avoids Karan's approaches to her, but after Karan gives up his former life and with the help of an orphan boy named Time Pass ( Master Mohsin ) who plays the matchmaker, Kajal also begins to love Karan. Sidhart Sharma, who is totally against the relationship, decides that Kajal should be married to Raju ( Salman Khan ), the son of his childhood friend Ramakant Sahay ( Dalip Tahil ), who is also in love with Kajal and knows nothing of her relationship with Karan . Kajal is now in the dilemma of sacrificing her love for Karan and marrying Raju in order to obey her father. She decides to make her father happy and wants to marry Raju for her father's sake.
