Jefferson Bellaguarda (born September 12, 1976 in Salvador da Bahia , Brazil ) is a former beach volleyball player.

Career

Jefferson Bellaguarda already played successfully for Brazil on the FIVB World Tour in the years 2000–2003 , in 2000/01 together with Paulão and in 2002/03 he formed a duo with Dultra Jr. Since his marriage to a Swiss woman, Bellaguarda has lived and was in Switzerland temporarily only active on the national beach volleyball tour due to the lack of playing authorization.

In 2009 Bellaguarda, now playing for Switzerland, formed a Swiss national team with Martin Laciga . Shortly after the formation of this duo, Laciga / Bellaguarda were able to record considerable success on the FIVB World Tour . At the end of 2010, Bellaguarda and Laciga separated. Jefferson Bellaguarda then tackled the Olympic Games 2012 goal together with Patrick Heuscher as the nominally strongest Swiss duo . In August 2011 Heuscher / Bellaguarda reached fourth place at the European Championships in Kristiansand .

In 2012 he finished after a ninth place at the XXX. Olympic Summer Games in London his professional sports career .
