The following year they moved into the European Championship finals and were successful on the World Tour in Paris . In 2006, in addition to winning the tournament in Roseto degli Abruzzi, they achieved another third place at the European Championship .

After Kobel's career ended, Sascha Heyer became Heuscher's new partner. The duo, trained by Jürgen Wagner, finished ninth and fifth at the 2007 and 2008 European Championships . At the Olympic Games in Beijing, Heuscher / Heyer retired as third in the group after the preliminary round. After four years together, the Heyer-Heuscher duo separated at the end of 2010 for sporting reasons. Heuscher tackled the Olympic Games 2012 goal together with Jefferson Bellaguarda .
