Jeffrey A. Melvin is a production designer and property master .

Life

Melvin began his career in the film staff in 1985 as assistant in the props in television, where he mainly worked until the late 1990s and worked on the series Ultraman - My Secret Me and RoboCop , among others . He also made his film debut in 1985 with the Jim Henson production Bibo's Adventurous Escape . As a prop master he worked on Wes Craven presents Dracula , The Incredible Hulk and Suicide Squad, among others . He first worked as a production designer for the German-Canadian disaster film Pompeii in 2014 . In 2018 he was nominated for Guillermo del Toro's fantasy film Shape of Water together with Shane Vieau and Paul Denham Austerberry for the Oscar in the category Best Production Design and the BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Production Design.
