Jeffrey Russell James

Sir Jeffrey Russell James KBE (2001), CMG (1994) (born August 13, 1944 ) is a former British diplomat .

Life

Jeffrey Russell James joined the Foreign Service in 1967 and became Third Class Embassy Secretary in London. In 1969 he was employed in Tehran. In 1970 he was promoted to second class embassy secretary in Kabul . Jeffrey Russell James was Ambassador to Tehran from 1993 to 1997 . From July 1, 1997 to December 2001, Jeffrey Russell James was High Commissioner (Commonwealth) in Nairobi .
