Jehro (2006)

Jérôme Cotta alias Jehro (* in Marseille ) is a French singer and songwriter .

Jérôme Cotta was born in Marseille to an Italian-Greek mother and a French father. At first he was shaped by French-speaking songwriters such as Georges Moustaki , Georges Brassens , Jacques Brel and Leo Ferré . At the age of 20 he moved to London, where he musically dealt with reggae and worked as a street musician. In 1999 he returned to France and published his first album L'arbre et le fruit , which immediately made him jump into the French radio playlists. In 2002 and 2006, two English-language albums followed with A tropical soul adventure and Jehro . Jehro lives in Paris and began a tour of Europe and Germany in September 2007.

His music style is a calm mixture of reggae, calypso, blues, folk and chanson, his themes are mainly serious to sad.
