Jekaterina Wassiljewna Lugowkina ( Russian Екатерина Васильевна Луговкина ; born December 25, 1980 in Khimki ) is a former Russian archery biathlete . With eight titles at archery biathlon world championships , she is the most successful representative of her sport after Olga Koslowa .

Jekaterina Lugowkina started for Dynamo Moscow . She had her international breakthrough when she won the individual title at the 2001 World Championships in Kubalonka , the pursuit race based on it and in the relay race with Olga Koslowa and Marija Filippowa . In the mass start race, she also finished third behind Koslowa and Stefania D'Andrea . With three gold and one bronze medal, the Russian was the most successful participant in the World Cup. At the European Championships of the year in Pokljuka , she won relay gold with Koslowa and Filippowa and, behind these two, bronze in the pursuit race. In 2002 she won gold again in the individual at the World Championships in Pokljuka and with Koslowa and Filippowa in the relay race. 2003 in Krün the title was added in front of Koslowa in the sprint, behind this she won silver in the pursuit race. The 2004 world championships , which were held again in Pokljuka, were less successful . Although she won the season title a third time with the overwhelming Russian relay alongside Koslowa and Ksenija Malzewa , missing individual medals as seventh in the sprint and fourth in the pursuit race and the mass start. Your parade route, the individual, was not in the competition program. The 2005 World Championships in Forni Avoltri were again more successful . On the side of Koslowa and Valentina Linkowa Lugowkina won for the fourth time - and for the fourth time before the Italian relay - the title in the relay competition. In addition, she was third behind Linkowa and Koslowa in the sprint race, and only Koslowa had to admit defeat in the pursuit race. In the mass start race she won another bronze medal behind Natalija Jemelina and Koslowa. After a year off - but in 2006 she won the overall World Cup, the Sprint World Cup with Natalija Jemelina, the Pursuit World Cup with Jemelina and was second behind this in the overall ranking of the Mass Start World Cup - the last World Championships held in Moscow in 2007 that did not include relay races. Lugowkina won the silver medal behind Linkowa, in the sprint behind Linkowa and Jelena Scharafutdinowa bronze, in the pursuit race behind Linkowa again and in the mass start race third behind Koslowa and Nadia Peyrot .

Nationally, Lugowkina won the individual, sprint and pursuit titles in Lesnoi in 2005 and was third in the mass start race.
