Jen Annett (born April 21, 1985 in Kelowna ) is a Canadian long distance triathlete and national champion (2016).

Career

She has had epilepsy since a traffic accident when she was hit by a car while training on a bike in 2008 .

In 2012 her son was born and she was on maternity leave.

Triathlon professional since 2013

At the Challenge Penticton she was able to achieve her first victory as a professional athlete in August 2016 and she became the Canadian champion in the long distance triathlon. In August 2017, the then 32-year-old took eighth place at the world championships in the long-distance triathlon (3 km swimming, 120 km cycling and 30 km running).

She has lived in Penticton with her husband and son since 2005 .
