Jen Ledger (born December 8, 1989 in Coventry , West Midlands , England ) is a British drummer and singer . She became known as a member of the American band Skillet , of which she has been a member since 2008.

At the age of 18 she became a drummer with Skillet and replaced the drummer Lori Peters, who wanted to devote herself to other projects. She toured with Skillet from the "Comatose World Tour 2008" and recorded with the band the two most successful albums to date, Awake and Rise , on which she also sang the second lead vocal in some songs .

In 2010 she was awarded by the DRUM! Magazine voted # 1 for best female drummers of all time and # 8 for male and female drummers. This makes her the only woman who is in the top 10 of the world rankings.

With Skillet she has sold around 15 million records to date (Skillet around 25 million in total).

In 2014, she was the top earning female drummer in the world, with around $ 21 million. In the ranking for men and women, she took 13th place, first place was Rob Bourdon ( Linkin Park ) with 110 million US dollars.

She's now also pursuing her own project, where she's the lead singer. On April 13th, 2018 she released her first own album "Ledger Ep" with John Cooper as background singer.

Private

Jen is the youngest of four children. She has a sister, Marie, and twin brothers Martin and David. She attended Blue Coat Church School in Coventry . In 2008 she moved to the USA and became an official member of Skillet .
