Jenny Seagrove
Jenny Seagrove (born July 4, 1957 in Kuala Lumpur ) is a British actress .
Career
Jenny Seagrove made her film debut in the lead role of Sally alongside Rupert Everett in the short film A Shocking Accident (1982). That same year, followed by a starring role in the ten-part television series The Brack Report and a supporting role in Jerzy Skolimowski's Moonlighting alongside Jeremy Irons . The following year she starred as marine biologist Marina in the melancholy comedy Local Hero and as a bride kidnapped by pirates in the New Zealand film Pirate Island . The main role in the mini-series Des Life's bitter sweetness (1984) was her breakthrough. She had other well-known film roles as a young doctor suspected of being murdered, Dr. Sarah King in the Hercule Poirot film version Appointment with Death (1988) and as eerie "heroine" in William Friedkin's horror - thriller The Nanny (1990).
In the 1990s Seagrove largely withdrew from film work and played primarily theater (mostly on London stages). In 2001 she took over the lead female role in the BBC -Gerichtsserie Judge John Deed alongside Martin Shaw .
