Jens Brüning (journalist)

Jens Brüning (born December 14, 1946 in Oldenburg ; † February 20, 2011 in Berlin ) was a German journalist and radio author.

Life

Jens Brüning grew up in Wilhelmshaven and came to Berlin to study in 1968 . He studied journalism, sociology and North American literature at the Free University of Berlin. Jens Brüning has worked as a freelance author since 1980 for various ARD stations, Funk-Korrespondenz and the Süddeutsche Zeitung . Since 1984 he has been the editor of Gabriele Tergit's texts and books , whose rediscovery in Germany is due to him. In recent years, his radio features have been running regularly on Deutschlandradio and rbb .

Jens Brüning died unexpectedly in February 2011 at the age of 64. His grave is in the state-owned cemetery Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend .
