Jens Pfänder

Jens Pfänder (born September 4, 1959 ) is a German handball trainer and competitive sports advisor as well as beach handball coordinator at the German Handball Federation .

Jens Pfänder's first coaching station was from 1997 to 2001 at TSG Herdecke in the 2nd handball league . In the 2001/02 season , the qualified sports teacher supervised the SG Solingen , but with which he was relegated from the handball Bundesliga in the end . From 2003 he trained the TuS N-Lübbecke , with whom he became champion of the 2nd Bundesliga in 2003/04 without a minus point. After three more years in the 1st Bundesliga, he was released in March 2007. He then took over the second division TUSEM Essen , with whom he was promoted. He was fired from the traditional club in January 2008. In 2008 he became the coach of the second division Ahlener SG . After the merger to form HSG Ahlen-Hamm in 2010, he took over the Bundesliga team, but was replaced by Kay Rothenpieler in October 2010 . From December 2011 to March 2013 Pfänder was sports director at VfL Eintracht Hagen .

From 2005 Jens Pfänder worked as a federal instructor for the DHB. In March 2014, he resigned from this position in order to concentrate on his duties as DHB competitive sports officer. Since September 2015 he has been working as an assistant coach for the German national women's handball team.
