Jermaine Gayle (born July 23, 1991 in Saint Catherine Parish ) is a Jamaican sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Jermaine Gayle gained his first international experience at the 2010 CARIFTA Games in George Town , where he won the bronze medal in the 400 meters and gold with the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay. He then finished fourth in the individual competition at the Central America and Caribbean Junior Championships in Santo Domingo and secured the silver medal with the relay. This was followed by participation in the Junior World Championships in Moncton , where they eliminated over 400 meters in the first round and finished fourth in the final with the relay in 3: 07.36 minutes. In April 2018 he won the bronze medal in 3: 01.97 min with the Jamaican relay at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia .
