Jeroboam was a hamburger Pop - band whose music among others by the folk and blues influenced.

history

On the first release What's The Deal? (under the label Polydor ), which was still strongly influenced by electronic sounds and elements of hip-hop , eight other musicians were involved in addition to Lennart A. Salomon, including a. a. Musicians of the band Mardi Gras.bb , such as Erwin Ditzner as drummer and Robert Göhring as trombonist .

It was not until the second album, Confidential Breakfast , released under Hazelwood Vinyl Plastics , that Benny Greb on drums and Thomas Merkel on bass could be heard. The style also changed and from now on the simple guitar sound led towards pop. After a break of around four years, Jerobeam released the third and final album How One Becomes What One is . This includes the only cover version of the country classic Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash played by Jerobeam .

After a lengthy tour with the befriended band John Q Irritated , Jeroboam announced the breakup in late 2009. The band gave as a reason:

In all the years that we've been on the road and making records, we haven't been able to build a structure that is self-supporting. We have also not managed to implement a vision that has enough message to support itself. "
