Jerzy Kotowski

Jerzy Kotowski (born July 23, 1925 in Tarnowitz , † May 17, 1979 in Krakow ) was a Polish cameraman and director of animation films .

Life

Jerzy Kotowski studied at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague . After graduating, he joined the puppet film studio in Łódź in 1952 . There he also headed the educational department of the State University for Film, Television and Theater in the 1960s . In 1967 and 1968 he was also vice dean of the directing department and vice-rector from 1968 to 1971 and rector of the university in 1971 and 1972. From 1957 to 1978 Kotowski made 36 animated films.
