Jesco Denzel

Jesco Denzel (* 1972 in Bremen ) is a German photographer .

Denzel completed his studies in political science at the University of Hamburg with a master's degree . He then studied photojournalism in Hanover . As an intern he worked for taz , the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Spiegel TV . Since 2005 he has been working as a freelance photographer and since 2010 he has been the official photographer of the German federal government . He lives and works in Berlin and Hamburg .

  • 2003: The last security team of the Al-Zahraa is chosen among the ten best reports at the Hansel Mieth Prize
  • 2005: proposed for the World Press Joop Swart Masterclass
  • 2006: Yann Geoffroy Award for Hanover, Eastern Cape
