Jessica Beincke
Jessica Beincke (Chinese: 白洁 , Bái Jié ; * 1986 in Ohio ) is an American journalist who teaches Chinese Internet users everyday American language and slang for the US broadcaster Voice of America .
Beincke was very successful with this for a while as she was able to explain her short and entertaining lessons in Chinese . But then her site was blocked by the Chinese authorities in March 2012.
Life
Jessica Beincke was born in 1986 in the state of Ohio and grew up in the small town of Pickerington . She studied journalism at Ohio State University and learned Chinese at Middlebury College as well as in the Chinese cities of Beijing and Hangzhou .
