Yevgeny Jurjewitsch Fjodorow ( Russian Евгений Юрьевич Фёдоров ; born November 11, 1980 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Edinburgh Capitals since 2016 .
Career
Yevgeny Fyodorov began his career as an ice hockey player with Krylya Sowetow Moscow , for which he was active in the Russian Super League from 1997 to 1999 . After another two years with their league rivals Molot-Prikamje Perm , the attacker moved to Ak Bars Kazan in the summer of 2001 , with whom he was runner-up in the 2001/02 season. After four seasons in Kazan, the left shooter was signed in 2005 by the reigning champions HK Dynamo Moscow . After another club change, the center was able to win the IIHF European Champions Cup two years later with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in 2008 . In addition, Fedorov reached in the 2008-09 season with Metallurg the final in the newly formed Champions Hockey League , where he and his team the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League A defeated.
In the following two years he played one season each for HK MWD Balaschicha and HK Spartak Moscow , before he was signed by HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in July 2011 . He played for Ugra until December 2013, before he moved to HK Sibir Novosibirsk and reached the KHL play-offs with this. In September 2013 he received a contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg .
International
For Russia Fyodorov took part in the Ice Hockey World Championship of the U20 juniors in 2000 , in which he finished second with his team.
