Jim Farley

Jim Farley (born 1962 ) is an American manager. From October 2020 he will take over the role of CEO of the automotive company Ford from Jim Hackett .

Farley received a bachelor's degree in economics and computer science from Georgetown University . Farley was poached from Toyota to Ford by Ford's former CEO Alan Mulally . Farley's roles at Ford included President New Businesses, Technology and Strategy , where he helped shape the transition from Ford to connected vehicles. He also gained experience leading the company's intelligent mobility and autonomous vehicle teams. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and finally CEO at Ford .
