Christian Burholt

Christian Burholt (born October 16, 1972 in Gütersloh ) is a German business lawyer and attorney . Since October 31, 2019 he has been a judge at the Constitutional Court of the State of Berlin .

education

After Burholt passed his Abitur at the Einstein-Gymnasium in Rheda-Wiedenbrück in 1992, he did civil service from 1992 to 1993 . He then studied law at the University of Bonn from 1993 to 1999 . From 1996 to 1997 he took part in a master's degree ( LL.M. ) at the University of Durham in England . Burholt joined the CDU in 1994 . From 1995 to 1999 he was a member of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) in Bonn. He was a member of the Junge Union (JU) from 1997 to 2007.

In 2001 he took over the first office and until 2007 was an assessor and deputy chairman of the CDU local association in Lützow. In September 2008, he was nominated by his district association as a direct candidate for the German Bundestag in the Berlin-Mitte constituency . In the 2009 federal election he was defeated by the lawyer Eva Högl ( SPD ).
