James "Jim" Rigsby (born June 6, 1923 in Spadry , Arkansas , † August 31, 1952 in Dayton , Ohio ) was an American racing driver .

Career

Rigsby was a lobster fisher by trade. In addition to sprint car races, he competed in 14 races for the AAA National Series between 1950 and 1952. His best result was two fourth places, which he was able to achieve in Milwaukee and Springfield in 1952 .

Ringby started once in Indianapolis. After he was unable to qualify in 1950 , he reached 12th place in 1952, 16 seconds behind the winner Troy Ruttman . Since the race was part of the drivers' world championship at the time, he also had a Grand Prix start in the statistics.
