Fiore "Jimmy" Casella (born June 3, 1924 - August 10, 1976 ) was an American poker player .

Poker career

Career

Casella was from New York and moved to Las Vegas in the 1950s . He made three money in prestigious poker tournaments, each time winning a tournament in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. At the second edition of the WSOP in 1971 , Casella won the Limit Razz variant and received $ 10,000 in prize money and his first bracelet . Three years later, he won the first and third events of the 1974 World Series of Poker, securing two more bracelets and more than $ 65,000.

In total, Casella has earned around $ 75,000 in poker in live tournaments. In August 1976, he died at the age of 52 years to cancer .
