João de Loureiro
João de Loureiro (born September 8, 1717 in Lisbon (baptism date), † October 18, 1791 in Lisbon) was a Portuguese missionary and botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is “ Lour. ".
Live and act
He lived in Mozambique, in Cochin China for 30 years and in China for three years . His main work is the flora cochinchinensis .

The plant genus Loureira Raeusch is named after him . from the spindle tree family (Celastraceae).
