Joércio Gonçalves Pereira CSsR (born September 3, 1953 in Virgínia , Minas Gerais , Brazil ) is a Brazilian religious priest and emeritus prelate of the territorial prelature Coari .

Life

Gonçalves entered the Redemptorist Order and made profession on July 31, 1982 . On February 26, 1983, he received the sacrament of ordination . Later he headed the National Seminary Nossa Senhora Aparecida (Our Lady of Aparecida) in the Archdiocese of Aparecida .

On November 30, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . for Koadjutorprälat the territorial prelate Coari The episcopal ordination received Gonçalves on 25 February 2006 Archbishop Emeritus of Aparecida, Aloisio Cardinal Lorscheider OFM ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Aparecida, Raymundo Damasceno Assis and the Prelate of Coari, Gutemberg Freire Régis CSsR . With the age-related resignation of Gutemberg Freire Régis on February 28, 2007 Joércio Gonçalves Pereira was his successor in the office of Prelate of Coari. On July 22, 2009, Joércio Gonçalves Pereira resigned from the office of prelate of the Coari Territorial Prelature.
