Joílson Rodrigues Macedo (born July 7, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro ), better known as Joílson , is a Brazilian football player .

Club career

Joílson comes from the youth team of America FC (RJ) , a football club in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro. This was his first stop in the men's division until mid-2004. The Brazilian only played for Estrela do Norte in 2003. He then moved to FC Tombense, where he had contracts until 2016, but played on loan almost every season at various other clubs over the years. He had his first short guest appearances with Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte and Cabofriense. From 2005 to 2007 he played for Botafogo FR and in 2006 won the Rio de Janeiro State Championship with this team . For the 2008 season Joílson was awarded to São Paulo FC , with whom he won the Brazilian championship. In the current 2009 season, the midfielder went again on loan to Gremio Porto Alegre , who previously finished second in the championship behind São Paulo. In 2010 he won the state championship of Rio Grande do Sul with the club .
