Joachim Becker (judge)

Joachim Becker (born July 7, 1968 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German lawyer .

Life

From 1987 to 1991 he studied law at the Goethe University (January 1992: first state examination ). From March 1992 to July 1993 he completed his doctorate with Hans Meyer and Hans-Joachim Mertens ("Administrative private law and administrative company law using the example of legal protection in decisions made by the Treuhandanstalt"), funded by Prof. Dr. Hermann Louis Brill scholarship from the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art. From July 1993 to December 1995 he completed his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main (December 1995: Second State Examination). From 1996 to 1999 he completed his habilitation with Hans Meyer (Professorship for Constitutional , Administrative and Financial Law) at the Humboldt University in Berlin "Transfer Justice and Constitution - The Financing of Pension Insurance in the Tax and Contribution System and in the System of State Benefits". After his habilitation lecture in February 2000 on the subject of “Taxation of Loyalty Shares?” He received the Venia legendi : Constitutional and administrative law, financial and tax law and social law awarded by the Law Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin .

In June 2006 he was appointed adjunct professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin. From September 1995 to September 1996 he was a research assistant at Hans Meyer's chair for constitutional, administrative and financial law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. From October 1996 to September 2002 he was a research assistant at Hans Meyer's chair for constitutional, administrative and financial law. From October 2002 to September 2003 he was a judge at the Social Court in Marburg . From October 2003 to September 2005 he was seconded to the Hessian State Chancellery , “Law and Constitution” department. From October 2005 to December 2006 he was seconded to the Fulda Social Court. From January 2007 to November 2007 he was a judge at the Wiesbaden Social Court . Since December 2007 he has been seconded to the Federal Social Court. He has been a judge at the Regional Social Court in Darmstadt since 2014 .

His work focuses on reform of social security, statutory pension insurance, statutory health insurance, statutory long-term care insurance, statutory accident insurance, employment promotion, basic security for job seekers, social assistance, severely handicapped law, social compensation law and housing benefit law.
