Joachim Bordt (* 20th May 1947 in Lüneburg ) is a German local politician ( FDP ), and was up to 14 September 2014 acting, full-time district administrator of the district of Harburg .

Training and first professional positions

After graduating from high school in Lüneburg, Joachim Bordt completed a law degree at the University of Hamburg . He passed the first state examination there .

From 1973 to the end of 1975 Joachim Bordt did a two-year preparatory service as a trainee lawyer in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Celle , which he completed with the second state examination.

This was followed by further professional positions as a lawyer at a legal protection insurance company and at the Federal Labor Office (BA) in Uelzen .

Worked in the Harburg district

Joachim Bordt began his work in the Harburg district on October 1, 1977, initially in the legal office, which he headed from 1979. In 1983 Joachim Bordt acted as a department head with various tasks, from 1990 to 1997 he headed the social department, from 1998 the environment department, which was expanded to include the building and environment department in 2000.

On September 25, 2003, he was elected unanimously by the district council of Harburg as the first district councilor and thus as general deputy of the district administrator. From spring 2006 until the district council election on September 10, 2006, he took over the duties of district administrator as the first district councilor.

On September 10, 2006, Joachim Bordt was elected as the successor to Axel Gedaschko with a majority of 62.6 percent of the valid votes for a period of eight years as the full-time district administrator of the Harburg district. With this, the FDP candidate beat out his competitor Erhard Schäfer from the Greens, who received 37.4% of the vote, in the first ballot .

His term of office began on September 15, 2006 with the acceptance of the election after the official final result had been determined by the district election committee .

As a full-time district administrator, Joachim Bordt was head of administration. In this function he acted as chairman of the district committee and was responsible for the preparation and implementation of the decisions of the district council. As District Administrator, Joachim Bordt took over the external representation of the district in legal and administrative transactions and in court proceedings .

Another task of his was the representative representation of the Harburg district.

In addition, Joachim Bordt was a member and representative in various boards , supervisory boards and shareholders' meetings as district administrator .

Joachim Bordt retired on September 14, 2014. On September 15, 2014, his successor Rainer Rempe ( CDU ) began his service in the Harburg district.
