Rainer Rempe

Rainer Rempe (* 6. June 1962 in Cloppenburg ) is a German local politician ( CDU ) and since 15 September 2014 District Administrator of the district Harburg .

Life

Rainer Rempe attended school in Cloppenburg from 1968 to 1981 and passed his Abitur exams there. From 1982 to 1992 studied he jurisprudence with an economics focus at the University of Osnabrück and completed a traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg .

politics

From 1992 to 1997 Rainer Rempe started in the legal office of the Harburg district and became the department head for organization and personnel at the Lüneburg district government . From 1997 to 2000 he acted as a project manager for a comprehensive reform of the district administration , especially in the areas of citizen service , flexible working and opening times, lean organization and business tools. Since 2000, Rainer Rempe has been head of strategic control for efficient and citizen-oriented administrative structures in the areas of district development, economic development , controlling , personnel development and climate protection .

From 2004 to 2007 he worked as a unanimously elected district councilor in the Harburg district. Since 2007, Rainer Rempe has held the position of the First District Councilor and was thus the general representative of the District Administrator in the Harburg district. The district council elected him to this office with a large majority.

On May 25, 2014, Rainer Rempe was elected as the new district administrator of the Harburg district with 52.4 percent of the vote. His opponent Thomas Grambow ( SPD ) received 47.8 percent of the vote.

Rainer Rempe took office on September 15, 2014. His predecessor Joachim Bordt ( FDP ) retired on September 14, 2014 after eight years as district administrator.
