Joachim Gradwohl

Joachim Gradwohl (born June 6, 1969 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian cook and non-fiction author.

Career

After his training at the Hotel “Post” in Kirchschlag , he went to Salzburg to the “Goldener Stern” of the Döllerer family in Golling. From there to the “Kurhausstüberl” under Alfons Schuhbeck in Waging am See, then to “Aubergine” under Eckart Witzigmann in Munich , then to “Steirereck” in Vienna and then to “Palme d´Or” in Cannes . From August 1998 to 2001 he was head chef at the “Drei Husaren” in Vienna, then at the “Maestro” in the Wiener Konzerthaus .

From 2003 to 2010 he was head chef at the “Restaurant Meinl am Graben” in Vienna, where he was awarded “Three Toques” by Gault Millau and in 2007 he was named Chef of the Year.

From June 2011 Gradwohl was the overall kitchen manager of the catering company "Hans Schmid" in Vienna. From September 2012 to May 2013 he cooked in the Viennese restaurant “Fabios”.

Gradwohl has been self-employed with a party service since 2013 .
