Joachim Wood

Joachim Holz (born June 27, 1944 in Salzwedel ) is a German politician ( DBD , CDU ).

Holz attended elementary and middle school in Salzwedel and finished his agricultural apprenticeship with a high school diploma. He then studied at the agricultural engineering school in Haldensleben and was thus allowed to call himself a state-certified farmer. After completing his military service, he completed distance learning at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig , graduating with a degree in agricultural engineering. From 1968 to 1973, Holz headed animal production in the Agricultural Production Cooperative (LPG) Pretzier , was production manager for young cattle rearing at LPG Altmark in Kerkau from 1974 to 1985, and was its chairman from 1986.

Holz joined the DBD in 1963, where he was a member of the district board in Salzwedel from 1982 and of the district board in Magdeburg from 1984 . From 1974 to 1990 he was a member of the Salzwedeler district council. He belonged to the last people 's chamber . After the DBD was dissolved, he joined the CDU in August 1990, for which he also sat in the German Bundestag from October to December 1990 .

Holz lives in Fleetmark and is a member of the board of the hunting company there .
