Joan Saubich i Mir (born November 7, 1989 in Sarrià de Ter near Girona ) is a former Spanish handball player who was mostly used on the right wing .

The 1.86 m tall and 88 kg heavy left-hander was discovered by the talent scouts of FC Barcelona in 2004 and signed for the youth team. In the 2007/08 season he made his debut in the ASOBAL league . In the EHF Champions League 2008/09 he celebrated his international premiere at GOG Svendborg TGI . In 2009 he moved to the second division BM Huesca . He returned after one season and played in the first and second team at Barça in 2010/11. He was also used in the EHF Champions League 2010/11 and scored his first goal in the competition at 28:28 at THW Kiel . In the end, he won the Champions League. For the next two years he was loaned back to Huesca, where he was the fourth top scorer in the ASOBAL league in 2012/13 with 155 goals (57 from seven meters ). In summer 2013 he signed with Naturhouse La Rioja , with whom he also started the season preparation. In August 2013, Barcelona signed him again. On his return he won the Super Globe 2013, the Supercopa Asobal , the Copa ASOBAL and the King's Cup . In the EHF Champions League 2013/14 he is in the final four . In the 2015/16 season he played for the French first division club Pays d'Aix UC . He then returned to FC Barcelona. He ended his career in the summer of 2017.

For the Spanish junior national team, Joan Saubich played 22 games in which he scored 47 goals. At the U-21 World Cup in 2009, he finished eighth.
