Joanna Taylor (born July 24, 1978 Tooting , South London , London ) is a British actress and model .

Life

Taylor trained at the Guildford School of Acting , an acting school in the English city of Guildford . Their first breakthrough came in with her appearance as Geri Hudson in the British soap opera Hollyoaks radio station Channel 4 . From 2001 she starred in the lead role of the British police officer Jackie Brown in the television series Merseybeat on BBC One . In 2004 she played the role of the opponent Sarah Henley in the German-American disaster film Apocalypse Eis by the director Christoph Schrewe at the side of the actors Dean Cain and Bettina Zimmermann . In 2007 she appeared as Fiona in the film Back in Business .

Furthermore, Taylor has been involved in the British children's cancer aid organization CLIC Sargent since 2007 .

On July 7, 2004 Taylor married the English soccer player Danny Murphy , whom she had met through her colleague Louis Emerick in Barbados . After her marriage to Murphy, Taylor wrote a weekly column in The Times in 2005 under the heading "Footballer's Wives" (WAGs). They have two children together, daughter Maya Eve Murphy (* 2006) and her son Ethan Murphy (* 2010).
