Joaquín Mariano Sucunza (born February 15, 1946 in Pamplona , Spain ) is auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires .

Life

Joaquín Mariano Sucunza received on 27 November 1971, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 22, 2000 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Saetabis and ordered him auxiliary bishop of Buenos Aires. The Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio SJ , donated him episcopal ordination on October 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Buenos Aires, Mario José Serra and Guillermo Leaden SDB .

Joaquín Mariano Sucunza is also Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. On March 21, 2013 he was elected diocesan administrator of his diocese until the appointment of the new archbishop. With the appointment of Mario Aurelio Polis, announced just a week later, and his inauguration on April 20, 2013, he only held this position for a short time.
