Job Ferdinand von Strantz

Job Ferdinand von Strantz (born March 17, 1937 in Iserlohn ; † November 24, 2012 ) was a German lawyer.

Life

Job Ferdinand von Strantz studied at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn Law . In 1959 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After studying and training, he settled in Bremen . He became the chief representative of the general administration of the former ruling Prussian royal house. As such, he represented the House of Hohenzollern- Prussia in all questions of property law, both politically, contractually and in court. He was executor of Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia (1907-1994) . His action for repossession of the Hohenzollern possessions in Potsdam failed 1999. Special He gained fame in 1991 as coordinator of the reburial of the corpse of Frederick the Great of Berlin to Potsdam. In the public discussion about the reburial of Friedrich Wilhelm I , Friedrich Wilhelm III and Wilhelm II in the crypt of the Berlin Cathedral , he spoke out in favor of maintaining the status quo and against "coffin tourism".
