Jochen Habsch

Jochen Habsch (born October 3, 1970 in Erlangen ) is a German sports doctor , lecturer and textbook author. He deals with taping therapy on the musculoskeletal system . He also runs a publishing house and an academy.

Life

Jochen Habsch comes from a German middle-class family and grew up first in Franconia and later in Upper Bavaria. After graduating from high school in Puchheim in 1990, he studied human medicine in Munich and obtained his license to practice medicine in 1997. He is married and lives with his wife in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich.

During his studies at the Technical University in Munich , Jochen Habsch was in charge of several sports teams and clubs. During this time he also learned at Hans-Jürgen Monday the classic taping . In addition, parallel to his studies, he also acquired qualifications as a fitness and health trainer and as a paramedic. After his training as a general practitioner, Jochen Habsch mainly worked in the fields of sports medicine, intensive care medicine and as an emergency doctor . In the field of addiction medicine and motivational conversation, he drew attention to himself with several scientific publications. As part of his sports medicine commitment, he works for the IFAA as a lecturer for sports rehabilitation trainers, personal and nutrition trainers. He was also a part-time sports medicine supervisor for rehabilitation centers and sports clubs, from 2001 to 2004 for the Bavarian Athletics Association, among others. There he also trained trainers and supervisors in the methods of classic taping. From 2009, Habsch became known for his kind of neurophysiologically sound kinetic taping. Habsch runs a private practice in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich. In 2009 he published the booklet Functional Associations with Tape .

In October 2010 his textbook compact course kinetic tapes was published , which was received positively by the professional world: in the magazine for physiotherapists the work is editorially referred to as a "basic and reference work ... for every supervisor's case". In the German magazine for sports medicine , the organ of sports doctors, it is expressly recommended by the scientific editor-in-chief as a “manual” and “reference work ... on taping therapy”, as well as in the official organ of orthopedic surgeons and trauma surgeons. In addition, positive reviews can be found in the newspaper of the Bavarian State Medical Association , the Bayerisches Ärzteblatt , in the journal Naturheilpraxis and the journal Therapy + Practice of the VDB Physiotherapy Association. The book is also mentioned in the Deutsches Ärzteblatt . In the Swiss magazine FITforLIFE it is listed as a book tip from the editors. Amazon lists the book as a bestseller in sports medicine. The third edition appeared in October 2012. Jochen Habsch is an expert in the field of medical taping.
