Jochen Kelter
Jochen Kelter (born September 8, 1946 in Cologne ) is a German - Swiss writer and translator.
life and work
Jochen Kelter studied literature and linguistics in Cologne, Aix-en-Provence and Konstanz . Kelter writes poetry , prose , essays , plays and translations from English , French and Italian , which have been published in anthologies and literary journals. He made his debut in 1978 with the volume of poetry »Zwischenbericht«, which was followed by numerous individual titles. Kelter was a co-founder and co-editor of the literary magazine UNIVERS (1974-1981).
The Association of German Writers (VS), now in ver.di , elected him as deputy chairman of the federal executive committee at the Saarbrücken congress in 1984. He is also a member of the ProLitteris (President from 2002 to 2010), European Writers' Council (President 1989–2003), PEN Center Germany and authors in Switzerland . Between 1988 and 2001 he was General Secretary of the Olten Group .
Jochen Kelter lives in Ermatingen (Switzerland) and Paris . In 2016 he was u. a. to the International Poetry Festival Medellin invited.
Jochen Kelter's legacy is in the Franz-Michael-Felder-Archive in Bregenz.
