The Jod River ( Russian Ёд ) is a left tributary of the Bolshaya Loptjuga in the Russian Republic of Komi .

The Jod River has its source on the border with Arkhangelsk Oblast . It flows in a predominantly northeastern direction. He shows numerous river loops. After 151 km it meets the north-flowing Bolshaya Loptjuga, a left tributary of the Mesen . The catchment area covers 631 km². The settlement of Jodwa ( Ёдва ) lies on the middle course of the river.
