Joe Cunningham (tennis player)
Joseph Leverett "Joe" Cunningham, Sr. (born February 26, 1867 in Aberdeen , Mississippi , † July 27, 1951 in Temple , Texas ) was an American tennis player .
Cunningham took part in the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis . In the men's singles he was defeated by Wilfred Blatherwick in the second round after having a bye in the first round. In doubles, Clarence Gamble and Arthur Wear lost in the second round . Otherwise nothing is known about Cunningham.
His name was initially incorrectly passed down as James .
